OK long story short, he was trying to think of things to benefit his son so he wouldn't be disappointed so much. His thought was to have his son stay even more with him and not go back and fourth everyday. OK, the way he said this to me was "I might just have him stay with me more during the week which will take away being with you". Like it was no big deal.
